I just had to use my watercolors again... it's my first watercolor pic in... about 10 months. Well, this is more a practice pic than anything else. I hope I'm not bugging you with original characters! Anyway, I just used a bit of photoshop to make the colors look a bit less desaturated, because the scanner I use is not a watercolor fan.

I hope you'll enjoy!

Ooh, I dig the vest here. Nice shadowing. It's funny how you can make digital colouring look similar to watercolours etc. :)

I like the more painterly lines and textures in this one. I think it's a nice effect to be able to see the pencil work in the lines and the texture of paper and watercolor in the colored areas.

Is it hard to stay inside the lines while colouring with watercolours? I personally don't even have the guts to try it, cause i'm pretty sure I'd mess up the lineart... :O and I bought such fine new watercolours. Contradictional muich? lol

Lolve job with this one, Kyla. I love the way you coloured Emily! (and you are not boring us; Emily and Hawkins are prolly one of the coolest OCs here on DA)
