Sun Jan 20, 2008, 10:04 AM
  • Mood: Joy
  • Listening to: Spring haze -Tori Amos_
  • Reading: Jonathan Strange and Mr Norell
  • Watching: LOTR
  • Eating: big fat juicy MEAT!
  • Drinking: Green Tea!

Just to say that I am back from the mountains, but will be going on wednesday to the biggest european comic book festival. and stay until friday evening. I will not be presenting my book there, but I will not be there as a tourist either! I'm so happy to get to go there, and maybe meet some of my favourite artists!

If anyone of you is going, I will be with my publishers, Akileos. So if you see their exhibition stand, and a red-haired girl, that might be me! :D

Oh, I'd like so much going to Angouleme but for this year is impossible. I hope to have the chance some other year :)
Good luck with your stand!

Ah, Angouleme, it's been like 5 years since I wanted to attend. Maybe next years, maybe...
Hope you enjoy your time there :)

Hey. About your diet (Meat and green tea): that's a bad combination because there are substances in the tea that prevent you from absorbing the iron in the meat;)
lol, I just had to mention it!

hehe, I know! that's why I only drink tea four or five hours after eating the meat! I have iron deficiency, so I try to watch out! :D thanks for the tip!

lol, there's loads of stuff! Pumpkin seeds, sesame and amaranth have much more iron than lentils. interesting about liver is that pork's liver has about two times as much iron as beef liver. Meat in general is a good thing. There are supplements containing iron, too.
Tee and coffee among other things inhibit the resorption of iron, whereas acid - such as Vitamin C - promotes it.
Unfortunately, less than 25% of the iron in the food really get absorbed. So if it's a serious deficiency you'd have to eat loads of iron, chew nails for breakfast:D =P
I don't know how serious you condition is and I'm definitely not a doctor. If your iron deficiency was discovered through clinical diagnostic methods you surely have been told what to do about it. Otherwise - if it's really bothering you and you've got the feeling that something's seriously wrong - I strongly suggest that you go and see a medic.:ambulance:
