It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Have you been to Ellen's Stardust Diner? It's 50's themed, the food's pretty good, but the real reason you go is the waiters and waitresses sing and dance :XD: I love to go there, and to the big Virgin Records store. I've heard rumors of a really good Argentinian restaurant that I'm going to try and find this summer (South American steak=SOOO GOOD). Wish I could take a day off and come and play with you in the city ;_;

Thank you for the advice! do you know where it's situated? Here in Geneva we also have a place where the witers sing and dance! It's a pizzeris and it's like in Lady and the Tramp! it's terrible if you go there as a couple!!! :rofl:

Oh, have fun! I'd definately recommend a walk around SoHo, particularly a little place called "Rice to Riches". They have the most delicious, and diverse rice pudding and have been featured in a number of movies ;)

Also, beware of the "cash cab" lol

Sure will! I have already been there, it was my favourite part of all my trip to New York! that place is fantastic! can't wait to see the paintings of Singer Sargent again!
