gahhhhhhhhhh I know how you feel when you just can't draw! Its been happening to me alot lately and its been making me really really mad! I have a few things almost done (my rogue cop and my angel assassin) but other than that I have like nothing! It feels horrible alot! But hey it happens. You'll come around to it and will be your old self again, just have patience.

I see what you mean... the only thing I am able to do is watch tons of movies that might inspire me... Or talk about my stories with friends that can help me out with my problems... then I really get inspired... I hope your art block will get better soon!

It happens to all artists .. from the most talented to the least .. everyone gets hit by artblock from time to time ( it is completely unaviodable :) )

Just try doing something different & inspiring .. listen to some new music ... watch a new movie .. read a new book .. play some sports .... watch other artists works ... or even look at ur old drawings ... etc etc .. there are many other things that could give inspiration .. u just need a change

Best of luck getting rid of ur artblockage ;)

The Muse will not be forced, or cajoled, nor put on on a schedule.

The Muse does not punch a clock.

See a play. Kiss a boy. Hell, kiss a girl, I'm open minded. Have a lunch of wine, cheese, and fresh baked bread on a meadow somewhere. Stare at the clouds, and just let them be clouds.

It sounds like you need your batteries recharged. So does your Muse.

Have fun. Let me know how it turns out.

:D

sometimes it helps to just not think about it and do some things you like :)
or to just doodle and mess around with really wacky nonsensical things!

I do hope you come out of the slump unscathed. If it helps, may I suggest using the Random Deviant Feature and have a look at some of the great galleries, maybe, hopefully, you'll find something that inspires you. :D

Hey Kyla,

Don't worry, I'm sure you'll be on the upswing of your slump in no time! Did you see the season finale of Lost?! Holy captives Batman! If you haven't I wont spoil it for you, but I remembered you were a Lost fan like me and I'm not sure if you're on to the last season as we were in the States. I love and hate that show, I just want some straight answers from anyone on the show! *lol* When do we get to see another polar bear! ;p :D

Later,

I sure did see season 2! but it's over now (and that's one of the causes of the bloody art slump) I think this season was really good in the last episodes. I just hope no one in the hatch is dead, and I adooooore Desmond!

Sweet! Yeah, he's turned out to be a pretty cool character! I loved seeing Clancy Brown as the original "hatch keeper" too! I really hope that Locke and Mr. Echo survived too. Charlie has been working my nerves and the less we see of Claire and her baby I think the better! Every time she's on screen I think of Elaine from Seinfeld saying "maybe the dingo ate your baby!" too funny!

What was up with the LOTR statue Sayid, Jin and Sun saw off of the boat?! More island craziness! Also turns out Henry might be a big wig for the "Others"! Season 3 is going to be very interesting!

How is your comic coming along? Have you had any luck getting a development deal? I saw a recent page in my watch folder from you that looked really nice! Very clean lines and solid panels! Hope it's going well! :D

I personnaly think the island could be the ruins of Atlantis, especially because of the huge statue and the electromagnetism phenomenons!
Well, I still am working on my comic, but nothing is planned yet when it comes to publishing. thank you very much for your interest! :)

Oh, I've been in the same boat for quite a while. It also doesn't help that I'm a perfectionist ;) But I find sometimes trying to draw something way out of what I normally draw tends to help for me.

yup, I'm a perfectionnist too! that doesn't help indeed. But I think that I will practice on backgrounds, that will help me get out of this art slump! and look at great art from other people!

Awww t'inquiète, ça va passer!! Le meilleur moyen de faire passer un blocage c'est d'arriver d'y penser et de faire autre chose à la place! (Du shopping par exemple..... Hmmmm...)
